I am always trying to find new ways to avoid over-processed, chemical-laden foods. Not only are they bad for you over time, once you are to really pay attention to how your body feels and responds, you can feel the effects of poor eating right away. This book has some great tips to get back on track. It’s packed full of good, clean, healthy recipes—one for every single day of the year. But the best thing is that this isn’t a bunch of bland tofu recipes, but some terrific, tasty dishes and treats that will quench that craving for sweets. The book is organized and broken into sections that include dinner, dessert, and lunch recipes. I appreciated that these healthful dishes didn’t include any hard-to-find or exotic ingredients—everything is easily accessible at your local supermarket or organic food store. Plus, each dish also includes a breakdown of calories, proteins, fat, and carbs, which makes counting calories, etc. much easier. This is the best way to get back on track with your eating without feeling like you’re starving to death. Be satisfied while getting your health and your body back!

Some very interesting and new recipes. I've already tried a few and enjoyed them greatly. I appreciate how the author includes healthy dishes but most do not include very expensive ingredients. I especially loved the chia chocolate pudding. A surprising winner. Also the other uses for quinoa- I was tired of the same tried but true recipes I've used before. This book inspired me to use try different uses and experiment on my own. A great book!

This was my first cookbook on clean eating and I was pleasantly surprised at how many good recipes were listed. A lot of them didn't require any fancy or hard to find ingredients which made it easier to try the recipes. This was a good beginners book for introducing me to this healthy lifestyle.

Many of the recipes look delicious and overall, they're quite healthy. Eating from the recipes in this book will definitely be much more healthy than the way I am eating now. The reason it doesn't get five stars is that some of the recipes aren't "clean," even by the author's own definition. For example, the book's introduction says to stay away from sugar, processed foods, and alcohol. It also says that "fat is not the culprit for weight gain. In fact, fat is good for your brain." However, some of the recipes use sweetened condensed milk (sugar, highly processed), low-fat milk (milk fat is one of the "good" ones so why not use whole milk?), and Amaretto (alcohol). To be fair, the introduction does say that the above-referenced recommendations are just that — guidelines versus rules — but I wouldn't expect to find so many recipes that stray from the guidelines in a book of "clean eating recipes."I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from buying the book. In fact, I recommend the book for anyone who is not already eating a fairly clean, healthy diet. I think most of us could agree that the recipes contained in this book are head and shoulders above the Standard American Diet as far as healthfulness goes. And most of them look delicious! I just think people should know before buying the book that not all the recipes closely follow the author's own guidelines.

Book was very informative, especially for someone wanting to eat less or no processed foods. It changed the way I looked at vegetables, etc.

Great book. At first I didn't think I would like any of the recipes when I looked on Amazon's preview of the book, as I tend to be picky, however, I went ahead and gave it a try and purchased the book. Well, it has a lot of recipes in there that sound very yummy and I can't wait to try them. Good book and it has a wide variety of recipes for even the pickiest eaters like me.

We have been making a lot of lifestyle changes this year, and the main one is in the way that we eat. Instead of trying some fad diet, we've decided to simply pay more attention to the foods that we're eating and their particular ingredients. Author Emma Katie has written the best guide to this that I have found with her "365 Days of Clean Eating Recipes."​ Not only is there great information about cutting out junk food, buy some wonderful recipes here for every meal. Just a few of things we've made are the Kale Egg Muffins, Prawn Tomato Stew, and Honey Almond Cake. Definitely recommend.

To be honest I was a bit worried that the book would be too gimmicky and not be very easy for a beginner to understand. The introduction is a bit gimmicky but for the price and number of recipes I thought it was worth trying. There are a lot of recipes that look good here so overall I think it was worth the investment. Another healthy eating cookbook I bought is more polished (the book I am reviewing has no index) and has clearer instructions. I dont mind the book not having pictures (come on people).

I ordered Frommer's Montreal and Quebec City 2011 guide prior to going to Montreal for a 2 week vacation.I read some of the entries, I did not read the complete book. The information I found useful was how to get to the city from the airport by public transportation. Otherwise we have not gotten much use out of the guide. Our medium size hotel Le Nouvel is very nice, but it is not listed, so we had to ask for help in finding it. We ate once at one of the recommended restaurants: Eggspectations, and although it was good, it was not in any way special.I was very disappointed with the pull out laminated map. It is small and very general. We replaced it quickly with the free official tourist Map of Montreal which is much more detailed. I wish I could find a better transportation map, the one that has metro and buses. Public transportation in Montreal is very good and with a 7 day Opus pass amazingly affordable. ($22/7 day unlimited rides on Metro and buses, there is a one time $6 charge for the Opus card)The free official guide to Montreal is a much more helpful publication.There is a major music festival going on right now "Francofollies" it goes on for 10 days with numerous daily free performances on more than 4 stages, it was not listed in the guide.Overall, we are having a great time in Montreal, it is a beautiful city and very tourist friendly. And I see now that I did not need the expensive guide at all.

Loved it! Although 4 years old it was well organized , still had useful information even on restaurants. The maps were great and held my abuse vey well. I will be buying a Frommer's for my next trip!

Been in Montreal and Quebec last October and used this guide. Very good organization of topics and a very good amount of useful general information for tourists. All restaurants suggested by the guide we tryed were good. We found some others very good too but not mentioned. So, if it is not on the guide, don't be afraid to try. The maps should have the street names in more places, not just on the main ones. Be warned that many hotels and stays don't have elevator, specially in Quebec, the guide could mention which ones do and don't have it.

This book was a great help to us during our week long trip to Montreal. The restaurants recommended by the book were delicious--and the book was right about what places would be crowded at certain times. The family sightseeing reviews were accurate as well. The many maps in the book were also extremely helpful. This book really helped us plan and enjoy our trip!

Very Good. All one needs to plan a one-week vacation to Montreal. Strolls appear especially well thought out. Restaurants? Suggest supplementing this Book with on-line reference to Trip Advisor which is more comprehensive.

We bought this for our vacation to Quebec City. It had good information about many of the basic sights, but we found that when we wanted to do anything beyond the most typical stuff the guide ceased to be helpful. This is a good basic guide but doesn't lead you to any of the great but lesser known or harder to find places that makes some guidebooks so great.

Frommer's Montreal was informative. The major museums, sights, and basic information were useful and correct. The ratings and lists of restaurants were useful but not complete which was fine.

No tables of contents for kindle! Some thought about the platform in hotlinks to network resources, but the maps are poorly adapted to screens -and you have to leave the book to get decent but poorly named PDF. Unimpressive presentation.
