What a fascinating period in history with the advent of new procedures, implements, etc ….Also to learn about the '4.2 kiloyear BP aridification' that devastated so many cultures so long ago --- perhaps it's happening again?It all became a bit 'dry' in places with the successions of wars and rulers - inevitable I guess.STILL - neatly summed up in the stipulated hour's read.
We have all heard of the Sumerians, this tells of the civilization that followed and the many great achievements of this ancient people. It's a fast read taking a little over two hours by this slow readers yet it impresses upon the reader the greatness that was achieved. I greatly enjoyed reading this.
This is a well-written book. Highly recommended! As a Bible student, I enjoyed the information about that part of the world. There were several names and locations which were similar to Bible.
This is a booklet, not a book. 48 pages. Also a misleading title. How can the history of the Akkadian Empire be told "From Beginning to End" in 48 pages?? Buyer beware.
I like the focused direction of the presented material. It gives powerful chunks of information that aids in my understanding and view of man's history. That supports the works of Martin and Burnell Chek Ante Diop. Lenard Jefferies and Others. Very Well Done.n
I was not familiar with the Akkadian Empire before this. This, written in HH's normal story syle, is an interesting and very readable introduction.
Reading any of this book series are well worth your time.
Truly appreciated the overview of the time period and effects of climate change on a developing civilization.
