He helped me see the signs so that I would know that my Raider is right by my side and in my heart. Now when I think about Raider, a big smile comes across my face and I will always love him. The author is extremely well versed on the subject, after many years of being in close contact with the Oaxacan artisans of mezcal; long before this agave distillate became the object of interest outside Oaxaca and other mezcal producing areas of Mexico. Highly recommended.

I love Ron Cooper and I really love this book. A really personal and insightful look into the man, the artist, and how this project came into being. The book and the business is really a project of stunning artistic merit. The insight into the man, the spirit, the people and land is deep and powerful. Truly a work of art.

Loved this book. Just getting into the Mezcal scene and had a baseline knowledge of the processes that go into this, and this book was a wonderful story of the people and places that make this amazing spirit.

Let me just start by saying that this is a beautiful book. The author is an artist, and it shows. The writing style is very personal and engaging, but full of great information on mezcal and the people that make it. It gives you a great appreciation not only for mezcal, but also the full context of the culture in which it is created. In my view this one is a keeper!

This is the 4th book on mezcal I've bought and my least favorite. Its mostly Ron Cooper talking about himself....not a guide to mezcal/history/culture. More a guide to Ron Cooper sounding cool and attempting to sound wise.

I love this book! It’s the story of how mezcal found it’s way from Mexico to the US, but also the tale of a life well lived with adventure, passion, art, and a little bit of magic. And if you want something to drink while you’re reading it there are 40 recipes for mezcal cocktails from which to choose.

Incredible book only wish it came signed by Ron Cooper himself.

As a canoe fanatic, I find such stories to be full of forgotten ways, and their related wife's tails. It's always great to take a trip back to a much more basic and more connected time. This book, though not always easy to follow due to the period's vasculars and custom. But it will bring you into their world gone by. It always Intrigue's me to see just how far history books are from the actual truths.

I love Thoreau's work, this is not even close to my favorite.It is slightly entertaining in its characterization of the classic "Indian Guide" but stereotypic for the prevailing attitude.Other that that, it was a paddling log, with very few sparks of brilliance. Easily forgotten.

A typical Thoreau piece. Thought provoking and entertaining. One of Thoreau's that has been around for decades but I hadn't read. Short and well worth the time to read.

All expectations were met.

Well written by a master observer of wildlife, woods, and people. A book worth reading more than once.....Dave

This is good slow read, descriptive of the scenery, in true Thoreau fashion. It reads more like an essay than a book. It will make you want to visit the area and bring you back to a more primitive day.

Not light reading, but well worth the effort. This is one of the top 10 books in my geology bookshelf.

Written in a casual and often humorous style, it's easy reading, yet packed with information on current geologic knowledge. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about the subject but doesn't want to slog through a college textbook.

What a grand book! Witty and chockablock full of information, and explanations that even a non-geology type can understand. Livemore includes lots of physics, which I find hard to follow...but it's no knock against Livemore.

She had Grit! She also had Seven Husbands, and one daughter, and one Great Love!!You have to admire a lot about what a woman or women of Evelyns generation went through because they're the ones who were the trail blazers for the stars of today. The women who work in that industry now I hope they thank those women from that Golden Era.The one thing going into this book that did surprise me about Evelyn was how it revolves around her sexuality. I didn't expect this but it was done tastefully I have to say. There was nothing vulgar about how it was written about it, Reid was very tasteful.I experienced the full gamut of emotions with this story from joy, tears, frustration, sadness, anger. But its a piece of art in my opinion. Thanks Taylor Jenkins Reid for sharing your talent and heart and soul. I highly recommend this book to adults 21+

And Monique is getting the story exclusively.“I’ve spent a very long time learning how to spin the truth. It’s hard to undo that wiring.”I absolutely loved this story! Taylor Jenkins Reid has this uncanny ability to suck you into the lives of her characters and never let you go. They feel so utterly genuine, I felt as if I was a part of their lives instead of an outsider reading about them. Reid also does an amazing job developing her characters, I was rooting for all of them to get what they want and to achieve their goals.I never really know what to expect when I dive into a book by Reid, but I can honestly say this book was full of surprises and twists I didn’t see coming. This book spans from the 1950’s to the present day, and we get to know all of the loves of Evelyn’s life. Evelyn herself was enchanting, I found myself fascinated by her life story, her choices and her perseverance. While love was a motivating factor, to me this was mostly a story about success and survival. Evelyn was always going to do what it takes to be a star and stay at the top, and she would fight for what she wanted.Hollywood and the film industry can be a ruthless place but it can also be one where greatness can be achieved for the lucky ones. I think Reid captured the industry and the time periods this story took place in perfectly.This is one of the best books I’ve read all year and I think if you go into it with an open mind and a kind heart, you’ll fall in love with this book like I did.“If you love someone enough, you should be able to overcome anything.”

It has lots of typos. Not written well, sometimes hard to read, very dry. Use additional resources for the exam.

You figure for this being the company that writes the IOS they teach about that they would get the commands right in the examples and explain theory in a less convoluted sense. Quite a few errors.

long winded hard too read at times

I solely used this book and some misc Googling and passed the 301 exam easily. There were a number of mistakes in screen dumps and examples, but in my mind, finding the mistakes is part of confirming you understand the material. I don't think they took away from the educational value of the book.

This book has provided me with a lot of understanding on why and when to implement a certain protocols on a network. I recommend this book for anyone who trying to figure out the results of your actions of what you are trying to accomplish and what to expect when you make changes in a networking.This book has become the glue to the puzzle pieces. My goal is not just to pass the CCNP test but to be able to explain it, design and implement it. I would suggest cross reference information to verify but like someone said on this review it can only make you a better engineer over all

The book currently has a word document 32 pages long of errata. The amount of errors I have found not listed in the errata would double the errata size. Reading this book is extremely slow and difficult knowing that it's extremely likely you are learning inaccurate information. This forces you to utilize other sources to verify everything you are reading.
