Helped us get on a consistent schedule for eating and sleeping, just in time for daycare! Read this when baby was about 4 months old and ever since, no lie, she has been sleeping from 8pm to 8am every night. Not sure if its just my baby's temperament, but while other babies her age were struggling with Leap 4 and 5 and the accompanying 4 month sleep regression, my baby was still consistently sleeping 12 hours most nights! Read, read this book if you are a desperate parent. I can see that it may not be for every parent and baby, especially if your baby is struggling with temperament issues.

Don’t buy this book thinking you can bypass the first book. I figured since it was aimed towards an older baby (mine was 5 months when we wanted to start sleep training) it would be all inclusive, but it really just builds off the first (newborn) book. I have had much better success with other books.

Absolutely loved Baby Wise 1. I had my infant sleeping through the night by 6 weeks! I recommend the book to everyone I know!So when I was moving to solids at 5 months I definitely wanted this book for guidance! I love the easy approach and helpful tips. If you’ve already been sleep training but didn’t use the 1st book this will still be extremely helpful!

"Start as you mean to go on." Practical wisdom on avoiding bad habits and instilling good ones from the very beginning, instead of having to retrain later. I love that this book encourages parents to see a child's large capacity to learn and develop, which can be so often underestimated.My son has responded so well to the suggested modes of correction, and he's only 7 months old! So thankful for the messages in this book.

This is an essential book for ALL new and expecting parents! We used the Ezzo's methods when our two boys were born (who are now 19 & 17), and have received compliments ever since from family, friends, and even strangers about how well adjusted they are. The key is to begin training your kids the right way from day one ... and to be consistent. Read this book. Follow exactly what it says. You will be glad you did!

For those who need a routine in their lives to find happiness again, this is a great book (series of books).

I'm not loving this as much as the first Baby Wise book, but it is still filled with good reminders and action items for me as a first time mom. Ezzo provides ideas for keeping your baby's day structured and encouraging healthy development and FUN. I appreciate his tone. Overall this book is less meaty than the first Baby Wise book.

I am a devoted fan of the first Baby Wise book, but the second was a let down. The chapters are not very well organized and can be very confusing at times. There are passages that I am pretty certain were pulled straight from the first book. While there is some good information there about introducing solids, there is a lot that comes across very muddled.

It's a shame that the publishing quality of "First Rate Publishers" doesn't match the quality of the content of this book. A publishing mark in the back of the book matches the date I ordered - they must have slapped it together at that point. There are no page numbers, tiny font, no indentation at the beginning of paragraphs... really disappointing. Please know this rating is a reflection of the publishing, not the title nor the author. Be sure to get a different edition. "First Rate Publishers" must be a cheap knock off publisher owned by Amazon or something, because I bought several "new" books from Amazon Prime, and they were all the same flimsy paper, tiny dim font, numberless pages... very underimpressive Amazon.

Excellent introduction to the history of British literature, for both children and adults. From the early tellers of tales in ancient times to the poetry of the early 20th century -- the author delves into the beauty and power of the written word -- heartfelt and elegantly written -- I highly recommend!

English Literature for Boys and Girls is a five-star book; it is one of the best books I have found for introducing English Literature to children from the age of 9 or 10 through middle school. However, this large print edition is poorly edited. What a shame. The book deserves better.H. E. Marshall's vocabulary and sentence structure are complex, and reading this book will stretch the younger student's reading comprehension, but he or she will also be enticed into a love of English literature. This book provides the background a student should have before beginning to study the Great Books written in English. From ancient Irish legends to Chaucer to Alexander Pope to Alfred Lord Tennyson, all the greatest works of English literature are introduced here. In most chapters the text includes both the story of a particular work of literature and excerpts from the actual work itself, including some in archaic English. This gives rise to great discussions on the transformation of the English language over time.I own a copy of the text as originally published, and I purchased this large print edition to help my 9yo students to read the text without eye strain. However, this large print edition published by BiblioBazaar is in dire need of an editor. Many whole lines from the original are skipped in this edition, leaving the students scratching their heads in wonder at the already challenging-to-comprehend readings. Sometimes a footnote will be inserted in the text with the next paragraph printed as part of the footnote extending to the bottom of the next page, skipping the entire paragraph in the primary text. This seems to be a quick-published edition that was never edited properly. The shoddy editing is a shame since this book deserves to be in the hands of every young English-speaking student.I cannot recommend this book highly enough, but I strongly suggest purchasing a different edition. There is no excuse for the gross errors in this large-print edition.

Wonderful, gentle introduction to British literature with lots of historical and biographical nuggets. Unfortunately no table of contents, but it is chronological so it is not hard to find what you are looking for.

Great introduction to the Literature of the British Isles for anyone of any age. Very well done!

Missing chapter 3. Poor quality book.

I absolutely love this book!! The stories are wonderful and very well written!

I read my grandfather's 11 plus exam and realised I couldn't have answered many of its questions when I was 15. Nowadays, this book would be read by adults to help them educate their children but really an intelligent 10 or 12 year old should be able to cope with this. As they probably aren't, I recommend this for any parent wishing to give their child a solid foundation in English Lit. She was brilliant. Homeschooling!!!

This book challenged me a great deal. I have found learning to think biblically is a challenge given the swirling winds of thought in the world. I learned to ask some questions that I would not have asked before. I plan to read this again in the near future to help me better understand all that the book presented. There were a lot of questions in the book to help the reader apply the ideas that were presented.

This was a hard read but a good one. I wanted to develop my opinion on death and dying so I wasn’t just spouting from what I’d seen on Facebook. Who better to teach me than someone who’s been a quadriplegic for more than 50 years? I feel more equipped to face the death of a loved one or my own suffering and I bought a copy for my friend who is a nurse.

I love the books she writes. We need to make a difficult decision about having a DNR or not for our severely disabled child. I wanted some faithful, Christian guidance to go along with discussions we’ll be having with our Catholic clergy.The book purchased on Amazon was the least expensive way of ordering it. Not to mention the convenience of avoiding a bookstore and getting something more!

Joni gives a perspective that only she can after 50+years of being disabled. I found a lot of wisdom in these pages, both for me as a health care provider and as a Christian. This book is timely and thought provoking.

A refreshing look at a controversial subject from someone who knows firsthand. It seems we are being bulldozed into the direction of assisted suicide and Joni makes us step back and look at the implications.

As Joni always is ....this is a very thoughtful and respectful perspective.

I have always thought that I would never want to be a burden to my family so I have thought I would never want life support to keep me alive. But Joni points out the value of suffering both for the sufferer and for those who watch them suffer while still living for God's glory in whatever way they can. Our suffering with a godly attitude can be a blessing to us and to others.

Joni Eareckson Tada brings her great wisdom to this most sensitive issue. As always, she shed great light on this. Great read! I highly recommend it!

Jons academy is great!! and his books are good too! This book makes me smile as a nice reminder of why i started the nursing school journey..I showed it to my daughter and she loves the pictures .. she smiles and giggles when i get to the letter N for Nurses.. It was a great way to explain to her why her mom was working so hard

Jon comes out with wonderful material and this cute little book lives up to that standard. Its very inspirational and heartfelt. As a nursing student, this book will be good to read through when im feeling stressed. Its a good reminder of why i am doing all of this. At the end of my program when i graduate, it will make a cute gift to an incoming nursing student who is new and scared like i am now.

There is some shared disappointment among nurses today because we find we spend more time doing paper work than actual hands on nursing. We find bigger patient loads and time constraints prevent us from spending that quality time with our patients that not only make them feel better, but gives us self satisfaction in making a difference in a life.N is for nurse is a wonderful book that is a must have for all nurses. Each letter of the alphabet is a reaffirmation of why we are nurses and though it may be frustrating at times to be a nurse N for Nurse is a huge reminder of why we are.

After having a rough 15 hour shift I got home and read N is for Nurse. It was just what I needed to remind me why I do what I do and why nursing is my calling.

I thought this was a very cute book! I look forward to reading it to my daughter so she can see all the reasons why I had to leave home and what I studied so hard for. I love the art work in this book too. If I had to pick just one thing I loved most about it, it would be that it serves as a reminder to be humble and remember why we became (or are becoming) nurses. After being in the medical field for a long time, I've seen people get burned out so this book is a cute reminder of why we do what we do.

This book is very uplifting. I recommend it to all my nursing friends, and encourage them to read it at least once a week.

I started using Jon's products with NRSNG Academy and they it have helped me a lot in school. That left me with high expectations for this product and I was definitely not disappointed. It is very well written and also cute enough that i can share with my children about what nurses are and why mommy is a nurse. Very well written and I would highly recommend this book!
